Why Does it Rain?

Why does it rain?

It’s a straightforward question, isn’t it?

It’s rather like when you meet someone for the very first time and, after introductions are out of the way, you ask, “and what do you do?”  You can guarantee that the person you are talking to will tell you about his or her job.

So, again, why does it rain?  You’re going to tell me about the sea, about clouds and vapour, aren’t you?

But isn’t that the answer to ‘what causes rain’?

So, why does it rain?  Maybe the answer is that it rains, so that plants and animals can get water, in order to survive.

So, what do you do?

What do I do?

I grow tomatoes, talk to people on the phone, paint portraits and feng shui pictures and I also walk my dog.

Is my job the answer to what I do?

No – my job gives me the opportunity to do other things.  No matter how important my job is to me, it helps me organise my life to do want I want to do.

It’s as simple as that!

And worth remembering … .
